What does Asilia Impact do?
Asilia Impact is a communication and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) firm based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We build the systems that let nature-based enterprises and nonprofits measure their impact, explain it clearly and use that evidence to raise funds.
Who do you work with?
Conservation and livelihoods nonprofits, and nature-based businesses such as seaweed farming, fisheries, aquaculture, ecotourism and carbon projects, in Tanzania and across East Africa.
What is monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL)?
MEL, also called M&E or MEAL, is how an organisation tracks whether its work produces the outcomes it intended and uses what it learns to improve. We design MEL so the same data feeds donor reports, stories and proposals, which saves staff time and makes impact claims easier to check.
Why combine communications with monitoring and evaluation?
Funders and investors trust what they can verify. When indicators are chosen with reporting and storytelling in mind, every claim in a report, website or proposal points back to real data instead of being rewritten from scratch.
What is an Impact & Comms Check?
A fixed-scope review that takes about three weeks. We assess your communications, your MEL and your funding readiness, then give you a scored report and a 12-month plan you can act on with or without us.
Do you write grant proposals and investor decks?
Yes, as part of Funding Readiness: proposal narratives, results frameworks, evidence packs, investor pitch decks and one-pagers, and donor reports.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is on request and scoped to your team and budget. Most clients start with the fixed-scope Check.
Do you work outside Tanzania?
Yes. We are based in Dar es Salaam and work across East Africa and the Western Indian Ocean.
